🎯 Fill in the Blanks — Tricks & Strategy
📘 Reorder Paragraphs — Tricks & Strategy
In Re-order Paragraphs, 4–5 sentences are jumbled. You must restore the original order. The trick is simple: find the one sentence that can stand alone (the topic sentence), then follow the cohesion clues — pronouns, linkers, articles and time words — to chain the rest in order.
TOPIC · stands alone
this / it ↓
Sentence 2
However ↓
Sentence 3
the … ↓
Sentence 4
finally ↓
Sentence 5
Each sentence links to the one before it — follow the clues.
Pronoun / reference (he, it, this, these) Linker (However, As a result, Then) Article (a → the) Repeated / key idea Synonym / alternative term / implied link
DIFFICULTY · কঠিনতা — Tasks are labelled EasyMediumHard. Easy tasks repeat the same word or use a clear pronoun. Medium and Hard tasks hide the link behind a synonym, an alternative term, or an implied meaning — so you must read for sense, not just matching words. সহজ প্রশ্নে একই শব্দ বা সরাসরি pronoun থাকে; Medium/Hard-এ সূত্রটি লুকানো থাকে synonym, বিকল্প শব্দ বা implied (অপ্রত্যক্ষ) অর্থে — তাই শুধু শব্দ না মিলিয়ে অর্থ বুঝে সাজাতে হবে।
1 Find the topic sentence (it must stand alone)
Skim all the sentences and find the one that introduces the topic with no reference to anything said before it. A sentence usually cannot be first if it starts with a clue that points backwards:
Pronouns / references: He, She, It, They, This, These, Such… not first
Linkers: However, Therefore, As a result, But, So, Then… not first
Time / sequence back-references: Since then, After that, At that time, Later… not first
"The + specific noun" that was never introduced (e.g. The discovery changed everything — which discovery?) not first
Which can be the first sentence?
AHe was awarded the prize in 1999. No — who is "he"?
BHowever, the project soon ran out of money. No — "However" needs a prior idea
C Marie Curie was one of the greatest scientists of her age. Yes — stands alone
বাংলা — সব বাক্য পড়ে এমন একটি খুঁজুন যা আগের কিছুর উল্লেখ ছাড়াই বিষয়টি শুরু করে। He/She/It/This/These (pronoun), However/Therefore/But (linker), "Since then/After that" (সময়), বা আগে পরিচয় না-দেওয়া "The …" দিয়ে শুরু হলে সেটি সাধারণত প্রথম বাক্য নয়।
ব্যতিক্রম: সব বাক্যেই যদি এমন শব্দ থাকে, তবে যেটি সবচেয়ে আগের ঘটনা বর্ণনা করে সেটিই প্রথম।
2 Build the chain with cohesion clues
Once the first sentence is fixed, each following sentence usually refers back to the one before it. Follow the trail of clues:
Follow the links
1 Scientists discovered anew species of frog in the rainforest.
2Thefrog is no bigger than a fingernail and glows in the dark.
3This unusual glow is produced by special cells in its skin.
4As a result, the discovery has attracted scientists from around the world.
Trail: a frog → the frog → this glow → as a result.
বাংলা — প্রথম বাক্য ঠিক হলে পরের প্রতিটি বাক্য সাধারণত আগেরটিকে নির্দেশ করে। নতুন জিনিস প্রথমে "a frog", পরে "the frog"; "this/these" আগের কথাটিকে ধরে; "However/As a result" আগের ভাবের সাথে যোগ করে। এই সূত্র ধরেই শৃঙ্খল তৈরি করুন।
3 Connect by key ideas — not by small grammar words
Match sentences using the important content words (the nouns and ideas that repeat or answer each other), not articles, prepositions or filler phrases like "One thing to note…".
Cause → response
1 The company asked the bank for a loan to expand its factory.
2 The bank approved the loan within a week. ("approved the loan" answers "asked for a loan")
বাংলা — বাক্য মেলান মূল ভাব/keyword দিয়ে (যেমন "asked for a loan" → "approved the loan"), article বা ছোট grammar শব্দ দেখে নয়। "One thing to note…", "What is more…" — এগুলো শুধু connector, মূল ভাব নয়।
4 Broad idea first, specific details after
If two sentences both seem like they could start, the one with the broader, general idea comes first; the specific example, date or detail follows.
General → specific
A Exploration of distant lands has always fascinated humankind. broad → first
B In 1492, Columbus sailed west hoping to reach Asia. specific date → follows
বাংলা — দুটি বাক্যই যদি শুরুর মতো মনে হয়, তবে বিস্তৃত/সাধারণ ভাবওয়ালা বাক্য আগে, আর নির্দিষ্ট উদাহরণ/সাল/বিস্তারিত পরে আসে।
5 Read the meaning — synonyms, alternative terms & implied links
In harder tasks the sentences will not repeat the same word or give an easy pronoun. Instead, the same idea comes back as a synonym, an alternative term, or is only implied. You have to recognise that two different words point to the same thing.
Synonym / alternative term: "the disease" later called "the illness"; "honeybees" → "these pollinators"; "the canal" → "this waterway".
Implied cause / result: no "as a result" — the next sentence simply is the consequence, so you infer the link from meaning.
Category words: a specific thing (a "factory", a "school") is later referred to by a general word ("the building", "such institutions").
Spot the hidden link (no repeated words)
1 In 1928, Alexander Fleming noticed a strange mould growing on a forgotten dish.
2 Curiously, the bacteria nearest this intruder had all died. ("this intruder" = the mould — an alternative term)
3 The substance it released would later be named penicillin. (implied: the mould released it)
বাংলা — কঠিন প্রশ্নে একই শব্দ বা সহজ pronoun থাকে না; একই ভাব ফিরে আসে synonym, বিকল্প শব্দ বা implied (অপ্রত্যক্ষ) অর্থে। যেমন "mould" → "this intruder", "honeybees" → "these pollinators", "canal" → "this waterway"। দুটি ভিন্ন শব্দ যে একই জিনিস বোঝাচ্ছে — সেটা অর্থ বুঝে ধরতে হবে। আবার "as a result" না থাকলেও পরের বাক্যটিই যদি ফলাফল হয়, তবে অর্থ দিয়ে সংযোগ অনুমান করুন।
★ Full worked example
Jumbled — put them in order:
PThese tiny creatures pollinate a huge share of the crops we eat.
Q Honeybees are among the most important insects on Earth.
RHowever, their numbers have fallen sharply in recent years.
STo reverse this decline, scientists are now urging farmers to use fewer pesticides.
P "These tiny creatures" = the honeybees just named.
R "However" turns from their importance to a problem (falling numbers).
S "To reverse this decline" answers the problem in R → comes last.
বাংলা — Q একা দাঁড়ায় (honeybees পরিচয়) → topic। P-এর "these tiny creatures" = সেই honeybees। R-এর "However" গুরুত্ব থেকে সমস্যায় মোড় নেয়। S-এর "to reverse this decline" R-এর সমস্যার সমাধান → শেষে। ক্রম: Q → P → R → S।
RECAP · সংক্ষেপ — (1) Topic sentence খুঁজুন (একা দাঁড়ায়)। (2) Pronoun/linker/article/time দিয়ে chain বানান। (3) ছোট grammar শব্দ নয়, মূল ভাব মেলান। (4) সাধারণ ভাব আগে, নির্দিষ্ট পরে। শেষে পুরো ক্রমটি একবার পড়ে দেখুন যেন গল্পটা মসৃণভাবে এগোয়।

📣 Instructions from your Chief Trainer
📊 Students — Activity & Hours
The Paid sub-tab is who actually has access (redeemed a code or paid — admins count too); Free signups are everyone else who signed up but never bought/redeemed. Shows each student's total active practice time (genuine in-app activity only), signup date, and last-active date. Search by name or email. 50 shown per page.
🎓 Teachers — Monitor & Instruct
Teachers you've promoted (via the 🎓 toggle in the Students list). See each teacher's login times, comments written, and tasks/challenges assigned; click a teacher to see details and send them an instruction. Only you (Chief Trainer) see this panel.
📋 Assignments / Notices
Assign a task or send a notice. Target: leave the student box blank to send to all students, or search and pick one or more students (each stays as a chip; the email shows so you can tell people apart). Link a task so the student jumps straight to it (or leave it unlinked and just describe the task). Optional deadline flags overdue for both of you. Students see it in their 📋 Tasks tab with a flashing unread badge.
🔗 Tasks to assign — add one or more (a whole section, or a specific task). Leave empty for a plain notice.
🏆 Quiz Challenges
Post a timed, class-wide multiple-choice quiz. It flashes to every student online (and re-shows on login until they take it). Grading is done on the server — the correct answers never reach the student's browser — so the leaderboard is tamper-proof. Each student gets one attempt before the deadline, with a per-attempt timer. 🥇🥈🥉 ranks by score; ties are broken by speed.
➕ Add a multiple-choice question — type it, fill 2–5 options, and tick the correct one.
💬 CILL Chat Room — Moderation
The chat automatically blocks links, phone numbers, contact info, and offensive words (English + Bangla). Each blocked message is a strike; 3 strikes auto-bans the student (a banned student can't post). This list shows students with strikes or bans — you can unban (which also resets their strikes) or ban manually. To delete a single message, open the chat and tap 🗑 on it.
💬 Student Reviews — Moderation
Reviews submitted by students (who have full access and have used the app for 3+ days). Nothing is shown publicly until you Approve it. Approve to publish, Reject to hide, or Delete to remove permanently. Approved reviews appear in the “Student Reviews” bubble for everyone, including demo visitors.
🔒 Security & Access Control
Login and purchase checks run on the server (Supabase). Students must sign in, confirm their email, and redeem a valid CILL access code (max 2 devices) before they can practise. This page is visible only to your admin account.
🎟️ Access Codes
Generate a unique code for each student after they purchase. Enter the student's email — the code works ONLY for that email address, on up to 2 devices (e.g. their PC + phone), so it cannot be shared with a friend. Give them the code to activate. You can revoke a code anytime.

Collocations & Phrases
Meaning • Bangla • Example — word partnerships for PTE
💡 What are collocations & why they matter
A collocation is two or more words that naturally go together — like make a decision (not “do a decision”), heavy rain (not “strong rain”), take part, pay attention. Native speakers expect these exact pairings.Collocation মানে স্বাভাবিকভাবে একসাথে বসা শব্দজোড়া — যেমন make a decision (do a decision নয়), heavy rain (strong rain নয়), take part, pay attention। ইংরেজিভাষীরা ঠিক এই জোড়াগুলোই আশা করে।
★ Why they’re vital for PTE
Reading (Fill in the Blanks): the answer is often the word’s natural partner — know the pair and the blank is easy.
Writing (essay & summary): correct collocations raise your score for vocabulary range & accuracy.
Speaking, Listening & everyday English: you sound natural and understand faster.
বাংলা PTE Reading-এ ফাঁকা শব্দ প্রায়ই collocation partner; Writing-এ সঠিক collocation নম্বর বাড়ায়; কথা ও শোনায় স্বাভাবিক শোনায়।
1 Learn words in chunks, not alone
Don’t just learn “decision” — learn “make a decision”. Store the whole partnership.
2 Watch the common patterns
verb + noun: take a break, do homework, make progress, pay attention
adjective + noun: heavy traffic, strong coffee, deep sleep, key role
verb + preposition: depend on, result in, deal with, focus on
3Notice & save them while you read
When a natural pair appears in Reading, tap the ⭐ to save it — then review your saved list here.
✍️ Quick practice
Choose the natural partner: “She had to ______ a difficult decision.”
💡 make a decision — the fixed pair (not “do/take a decision”).collocation: make a decision — সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া।
Which adjective naturally goes with “rain”?
💡 heavy rain — the natural collocation (not “strong/big rain”).heavy rain — ভারী বৃষ্টি।
Complete: “Please ______ attention to the instructions.”
📌 How to use: 🔍 search or browse → learn each phrase as a chunk with its example → mark the ones you know as learned → take a 📝 collocation quiz.🔍 search বা ব্রাউজ করুন → প্রতিটি phrase উদাহরণসহ একসাথে শিখুন → শেখাগুলো learned করুন → 📝 collocation quiz দিন।
